“生态旅游”在业界已经经过长时间的探讨,管理单位、经营者、业界专家都在进行实践与研究。TNC这样国际性的高端机构参与,既表现了中国在资源保护方面的决心,也可以看出国际社会对中国环境工作的关注。 2002年10月,中华人民共和国国家主席江泽民在给美国大自然保护协会亚太理事会主席亨利·鲍尔逊先生的信中提到:“处理好经济发展与环境保护之间的关系是中国目前面临的主要挑战之一,云南大河流域保护项目不仅致力于保护当地的生物多样性和文化多样性,同时还把改善当地群众的生活水平作为项目的目标之一。这样的项目应该成为全国其他同类项目学习的典范。”相信有这些科学的项目做参照,中国的生态旅游发展会迅速与国际接轨。本刊特采访中国科学院博士后钟林生先生,对目前生态旅游的发展做全面阐述。
