《胡绳论从五四运动到人民共和国成立》已于今年4月出版,这是令人欣慰的,虽然伴有一丝遗憾。说“遗憾”,是因为到这本有关《从五四运动到人民共和国成立》一书的遗稿,不能不使人想到,如果胡绳同志生前能指导课题组写完这本书那有多好!再如果胡绳当年能亲笔写出这本书,那当然更好了!可是,“天命”难违,他的工作特别是身体状况使这些都成为不可能。所幸留下了这本遗稿,并且在他走后不到半年就与广大读者见面了,这多少可以弥补上述遗憾,所以终究是件叫人高兴的事。
It is gratifying to note that “Hu Shengbo’s establishment from the May 4th Movement to the founding of the People’s Republic” was published in April this year, though with a trace of regret. To say “regret” is due to this manuscript of the book entitled “From the May 4th Movement to the Founding of the People’s Republic,” we can not but remind us of how good this book would be if Comrade Hu Sheng instructed the group to finish writing this book Of course, if Hu Sheng could write this book in his own hand, then of course it would be better! However, “destiny” is hard to disobey, and his work, especially the physical condition, makes these impossible. Fortunately, this manuscript was left behind and met with the majority of readers less than half a year after he left. This can at least make up for the above regret, so after all, it is a delightful thing.
