针对“中医存废”、“告别中医中药”等言论,分别从中医药学发展的辉煌历史和取得的成就、中医药的优势和作用、现实社会对中医药的需求、中医药在世界范围内的推广和普及等方面,进行了论述。同时分析了当前中医药发展所面临的现实问题,提出了解决这些问题的八项措施。指出我们必须正视问题,增强忧患意识。从中医药的优势、国内外的发展和现实问题看,中医药不仅不会退出历史舞台,而且会更加蓬勃发展。关键在于如何认真应对所面临的问题,研究对策,积极而稳妥地发展中医药事业。
