The paper aims to introduce Beth Israel Medical Center’s experience with high-dose intraoperative radiotherapy (HDR-IORT) in the treatment of recurrent head and neck cancer. A retrospective analysis of patients with locally advanced head and neck cancer receiving high-dose HDR-IORT between 2001 and 2010 was conducted.
