1989年12月24日,救国阵线委员会的几个核心人物:现任总统扬·伊利埃斯库、持不同政见的党内强权人物希尔维乌·布鲁坎、革命“大胡子”格鲁·沃坎,以及我本人,在国防部成立了临时权力机构。两天以前,齐奥塞斯库夫妇乘直升机出逃,在距离布加勒斯特百余公里的小城特尔戈维什泰市着陆。这个城市是罗马尼亚电台的一个重要中继站。显然,齐奥塞斯库夫妇想在这里重整旗鼓。特尔戈维什泰市的军队毅然站到了我们这边。齐奥塞斯库虽曾“借”了一辆私人汽车企图潜逃,23日清晨即被军队截获,囚禁在当地的一个军营里。
On December 24, 1989, several core members of the NRF Committee: incumbent President Jan Iliescu, dissident intra-party power-holder Silvio Bluccan, revolutionary “bearded” cell Lu Wakan, as well as myself, set up a temporary authority at the Ministry of Defense. Two days earlier, Ceausescu fled by helicopter and landed in the town of Targoviste, a town about a hundred kilometers from Bucharest. The city is an important relay station for Romanian radio. Apparently, Ceausescu wants to regroup here. The army of Targovisthe stood resolutely on our side. Although Ceausescu had “borrowed” a private car in an attempt to abscond, it was intercepted by the army on the 23rd and imprisoned in a local barracks.
