过去的传统观念一般认为,中小学体育教师只要在体育课上带学生玩得高兴,或有专项特长并带运动队训练出成绩,就算达到职业要求了;至于科研工作与科研能力,似乎与体育教师关系并不大。换言之,科研能力并未排在体育教师的核心竞争力之内。然而,近十五年来体育课程改革的深入推进和学校体育的改革发展,正在深刻改变原有的传统观念。近几年对基层中小学体育教师的部分调查表明,一线广大体育教师日益感受到了他们对科研能力的强烈需要。
