April 13, 1963, Gary Kasparov was born in Baku, capital of Azerbaijan. He showed extraordinary abilities in chess during his childhood. After being fully trained by the Soviet chess organization, he achieved a brilliant record: winning the Junior World Junior Championship in 198O and the Soviet Union the following year Frequently won in a series of international competitions.
