作者认为，由于中国人口多、底子薄、人均资源拥有量十分贫乏，难以再支撑我国经济的粗放型增长，因此，必须实施可持续发展战略，加快经济增长方式从粗放型到集约型的转变。其方法是：首先，要转变经济增长的观念，大力提高经济增长的质量和效益。其次，落实“科教兴国”国策，加大科技进步在经济增长中的作用。第三，实施名牌战略，全面推动企业产品的开发、技术的开发、科学的管理、市场的营销、员工素质的提高、企业文化的建设等。第四，调整经济结构，创造最佳的区域分工效益、资源配置效益和规模经济效益。第五，转变经济体制，为经济增长方式的转变排除障碍。最后，注重科学管理，提高管理水平。
The author believes that as China has a large population, a weak foundation and a very poor per capita resource, it is hard to support the extensive growth of China’s economy. Therefore, it is necessary to implement the strategy of sustainable development and speed up the transformation from extensive to intensive economic growth mode. The method is: First of all, we must change the concept of economic growth and vigorously improve the quality and efficiency of economic growth. Second, implement the national policy of “rejuvenating the country through science and education” and increase the role of scientific and technological progress in economic growth. Third, the implementation of brand strategy, and comprehensively promote the development of enterprise products, technology development, scientific management, marketing, staff quality improvement, corporate culture building. Fourth, adjust the economic structure and create the best regional division of labor benefits, resource allocation efficiency and economies of scale. Fifth, to change the economic system and to remove obstacles for changes in the mode of economic growth. Finally, pay attention to scientific management, improve the management level.
