静滴大黄对猫血压未见明显影响，对家犬可引起一过性血压下降，预先静注苯海拉明可阻止其降压作用．故认为大黄注射液中可能含有微量的组胺样或使组胺释放的物质；对猎血压未见影响可能是组胺对不同种属动物、不同血管具有不同作用所致．
Intravenous rhubarb has no obvious effect on blood pressure in cats. It can cause transient blood pressure drop in domestic dogs. Prehydration of diphenhydramine can prevent its antihypertensive effect. Therefore, it is considered that the rhubarb injection may contain traces of histamine-like substances or histamine-releasing substances; no effect on hunting blood pressure may be caused by different effects of histamine on animals of different species and different blood vessels.
