谷物产量居世界首位谷物主要包括小麦、玉米、稻谷、大麦、高粱、燕麦等。中国是世界上谷物生产的重要国家之一。改革开放初期,以家庭联产承包为主的责任制普遍实行和国家较大幅度提高粮食的收购价格,极大地调动了农民的种粮积极性。1980年,中国谷物产量首次超过美国,位居世界第一。之后五年,美国谷物产量曾一度两次超过中国,但从1986年起,中国谷物产量开始稳定增长,一直位居世界第一位。1996年为45054.3万吨。
Cereal output ranks first in the world Cereal mainly includes wheat, corn, rice, barley, sorghum, oats and so on. China is one of the important countries in cereal production in the world. In the initial stage of reform and opening up, the responsibility system based on household contract of co-production was practiced and the state greatly increased the purchase price of grain, greatly mobilizing farmers’ enthusiasm for planting grain. In 1980, for the first time, the cereal output in China surpassed that of the United States, ranking first in the world. In the following five years, the U.S. cereal production surpassed that of China twice in a while. However, since 1986, China’s cereal production has been steadily growing, ranking the first in the world. In 1996, it was 450,543,000 tons.
