苦杏仁酸(α-羟基苯基乙酸)是锆的专一试剂。锆与苦杏仁酸的羧基以电价结合,与羟基的氧共价结合。因此,将苦杏仁酸的羟基变为甲氧基是否仍能沉淀锆是一个有兴趣的问题。试验结果找出α-甲氧基苯基乙酸能从含数克氯化铵的pH0.8-1.4的锆溶液中析出白色粉末状的沉淀。经分析,得知此沉淀中锆和有机部分的克分子比为1:1,故此沉淀应系碱式α-甲氧基苯基乙酸锆。按苦杏仁酸锆能从强酸介质(高至5N盐酸)中沉淀及能溶于氢氧化铵,而此沉淀缺乏上述性质。由此可见苦杏仁酸之α-羟基经甲基化后,影响其氧的配位能力。
Mandelic acid (α-hydroxyphenylacetic acid) is a zirconium specific reagent. The carboxyl groups of zirconium and mandelic acid are electrically bonded and covalently bonded to the oxygen of the hydroxyl group. Therefore, changing the hydroxyl group of mandelic acid to methoxy group can still precipitate zirconium is an interesting question. The test results show that α-methoxyphenylacetic acid precipitates a white powder from a zirconium solution of pH 0.8-1.4 containing several grams of ammonium chloride. After analysis, we know that this precipitate zirconium and organic moieties molar ratio of 1: 1, so the precipitate should be based on the basic α-methoxyphenyl zirconium acetate. According to the mandelic acid zirconium from strong acid medium (up to 5N hydrochloric acid) and soluble in ammonium hydroxide, and the precipitation of the above properties. This shows that mandelic acid α-hydroxy methylation, affecting its oxygen coordination ability.
