This article describes a tube-excited low-power X-ray source. It is characterized by compact structure, good energy spectrum and intensity stability, and small launch area. It has been successfully used in the dry XYH-86 type small area X-ray fluorescence coating thickness gauge. The results show that the performance of the low-power X-ray source meets the requirements of similar isotope instruments.
