茉莉花为一年多次开花的长日照偏阳性的植物,性喜炎热潮湿气候,畏寒,经不起低温的冷冻。上隆农场地处红水河流域河谷山区,气候温和,雨量充沛,无霜期长,白天高热,夜间凉爽,具有天然温室的得天独厚的自然条件。我们于1982年2月28日从福州引进15万株茉莉花苗,经82年冬83年春出现罕见的霜冻雪凌考验,1983年4～6月又陆续从福州进苗一百万株,截自9月30日止,平均亩产花量149.4斤,4月种植的每亩已收37斤,6月种植的已收29.9斤。
