本文阐述了喷镀渗铝在国民经济中的意义,综合论述了近卅年来关于喷镀渗铝方面已进行的工作,在喷镀层厚度选择方面研究了喷镀层对扩散退火工艺和抗氧化性能的影响,提出喷镀层厚度以选择0.3~0.7公厘为宜,在1000℃以上使用工件,喷镀层厚至少应在0.5公厘以上.在保护涂料的选择中作者提出以采用40°中性水玻璃作为保护涂料的优越性,并以此涂料试验了将扩散退火与直接使用相结合的可能性.此外,研究了扩散退火工艺和影响工艺的因素,试验了喷镀渗铝件在1000℃、1100℃下的抗氧化性能。在钢的碳含量对渗铝过程的影响试验中.在0,1~0.8%C 含量范围内的影响并不大,因此可以认为,喷镀渗铝不仅只适应于低碳钢,同样也适应于中碳钢和高碳共析钢。
