Founded in 1974, the International Board for Plant Genetic Resources is one of 13 agricultural research centers affiliated with the Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research (CGIAR) and an independent scientific body. It takes the responsibility of organizing and coordinating the network of international centers of genetic resources for the purpose of promoting the collection, conservation, evaluation, collation and utilization of plant germplasm resources and raising the living standards of the world’s people. In recent years, the International Plant Genetic Resources Commission and the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences in plant germplasm resources investigation, breeding, identification, insurance
