我国现代著名的史学家陶菊隐先生曾写过一本《袁世凯演义》,书中所用材料几乎全来自剪报。陶先生在北洋军阀统治时期,经常剪贴报纸上的军政新闻资料,经过多年的努力,他终于积累了大量的各派军阀活动史料。后来,他就整理、利用这些剪报材料研究北洋军阀史,写成了《袁世凯演义》这本历史小说。素有“补白大王”之称的部逸梅先生,从18岁起开始剪报,当他90多岁高龄时,依然每天阅报、剪报,并笔耕不辍。近80个春秋,他利用剪报著书50多本。700多万字,堪称剪报著书的佼佼者。
Mr. Tao Juyin, a famous modern historian in our country, once wrote a book titled “The Story of Yuan Shikai”. The materials used in the book almost all come from newspapers. During the rule of the Beiyang warlords, Tao often cut and paste military and political news and information in the newspapers. After years of hard work, he finally accumulated a large amount of historical materials on the activities of various warlords. Later, he compiled and used the clipping materials to study the history of the Northern Warlords and wrote this historic novel “The Romance of Yuan Shikai.” Known as the “King of Fillers,” Mr. Kit Yat-chai started newspaper clipping from the age of 18, and when he was over 90 years old, he still reported daily newspapers, clippings and did not stop writing. Nearly 80 Spring and Autumn Period, he used more than 50 books clipping. More than 700 words, called the best newspaper clipping.
