Chengdu is the capital of Sichuan Province, a large inland province in China. It is a cultural city with a history of more than 2300 years. It is also the economic center of southwest China and an important hub of science and technology for transportation, post and telecommunications. Chengdu is located in the belly of the western Sichuan Plain.
