By way of combination the multi-level substructure analysis technique with the group-theoretic method, a new approach for analyzing a variety of symmetric structures is presented in this paper. The algorithm in agreement with this approach has been implemented in the program JIGFEX(Q). Four practical structures are taken examples to illustrate the efficiency of the algorithm.
