这次中国戏剧家协会派我到广州来,一是祝贺,二是学习。祝贺’96羊城国际粤剧节成功举行,祝贺广州市文化艺术的大繁荣;学习广州市举办粤剧节的成功经验,学习广州市文化艺术大发展的经验。这次粤剧节和’96广州国际艺术博览会,办得非常成功。今天的艺术交流研讨会也是非常成功的,专家们的发言,很有水平,很有深度。这不仅对粤剧有很大的促进作用,而且研讨会上提出的问题对中国戏曲的振兴也是有重大意义的,希望能把研讨会的发言整理出来,印发全国各地。这次我来广州参加粤剧节,也参观了博览会,我感到广州市的文学艺术发展是很有潜力的,一方面是继承了广州市深厚的文化传统,同时广州市在把中华民族优秀文化传统和现代

This time I went to Guangzhou to participate in the Cantonese Opera Festival and also visited the Expo. I feel that the development of Guangzhou’s literature and art is very promising. On the one hand, it inherits the profound cultural tradition of Guangzhou. On the other hand, And modern
