自1840年鸦片战争爆发至中华民国建立期间,随着资本主义侵略势力的入侵,西方先进思想也随之而来。在内外势力的双重压力之下,中国社会各阶层有识之士在前人开眼看世界的基础之上对中国该走向何方这一历史主题做出了回应与抉择。正是这一阶段中国社会各阶层的探索与实践进一步为中国人民打开眼界,更为中国共产党带领中国人民建立新中国并真正走上现代化之路积累了宝贵经验,并使之成为中国现代化进程中不可或缺的历史阶段。
During the establishment of the Republic of China from the Opium War of 1840 to the establishment of the Republic of China, along with the invading capitalist invaders, advanced Western ideas also followed. Under the dual pressures of internal and external forces, people of all walks of life in China have responded and decided on the historical theme of where China should go when it opened its eyes to the world. It is at this stage that the exploration and practice of all walks of life in Chinese society have further opened the horizons for the Chinese people and accumulated valuable experience for the Chinese Communist Party to lead the Chinese people in establishing a new China and truly embarked on the path of modernization and made it into the process of China’s modernization Indispensable historical stage.
