文章首先运用金属材料强度研究成果,充分发挥现有材料的潜力观点,合理选择在中碳钢回火温度、高碳钢表面淬火强化代渗碳、采用强烈淬火扩大某些结构钢的使用范围等方面作了论述。结合这一观点,把高强度、高韧性的新钢种用于吊环、吊卡、吊钳、防喷器以及公锥等石油钻采机械产品上,提高效能,延长使用寿命,减轻重量。文章重点地从材料强度观点分析了基础零部件攻关所涉及到的有关问题。并在攻关的研制工作上,分别对减轻吊卡重量、延长公锥和刹车鼓寿命以及保障吊环的安全可靠性等实例作了论述。最后,文章对影响金属材料性能和零件早期失效的其它方面的有关问题进行了讨论。
