亚洲设计,作为全球设计中日益成熟的力量,有着不容忽视的地位。以日本设计为例,这个集合了东方传统美学的“禅”意与静态美学的设计力量,甚至可以与荷兰设计相媲美。日本设计界不仅拥有如草间弥生、川保久玲等注重强烈始觉效果的设计怪才,也有像吉冈德仁这样享誉世界的重量级设计师。而韩国、台湾、香港的设计师力量也不容忽视,包括亚洲其他国家,如菲律宾的家具设计师Kenneth Cobonpue,他与他的作品更是名扬海内外。
Asian design, as an increasingly mature force in global design, has a place to be ignored. Taking Japanese design as an example, the design power of “Zen” and static aesthetics, which combines oriental traditional aesthetics, can even rival the Dutch design. Japan’s design community not only has design geeks such as Kusama Yayoi Kawabo, Kawabata Kenji, etc., but also has world-renowned heavyweight designers such as Yoshioka Takamori. The designer power of South Korea, Taiwan and Hong Kong should not be overlooked. Kenneth Cobonpue, furniture designer from other Asian countries such as the Philippines, is famous both at home and abroad.
