为简化工业锅炉的水处理方法,我校锅炉教研室协助西安市儿童医院在1吨/时锅炉上采用外绕式电磁软水器,代替一般常用的离子交换水处理没备。软水器自1971年11月2日投入运行,到1972年11月9日停炉检查,在锅炉受热面上未发现坚硬水垢,而仅有1~2毫米厚的泥渣。用手指轻剥即可脱落,用自来水冲洗即能除去。经一年多的试用,证明效果良好。软水器主要由矽钢芯、塑料套管及外绕线圈等组成。通交流电后在矽钢芯与外绕线圈间产生交变磁场,被处理的水自矽钢芯与塑料套管间流过即可达到软化防垢的目的。因为锅炉
