公共英语教学是高职院校教育中的一项重要内容,其质量高低成为人才培养的重要标志之一。新形势下高职院校公共英语教学的主要任务是对学生的英语实际应用能力进行培养。然而,目前高职院校英语教学中普遍存在着一些问题,严重地影响了学生英语水平的提高和对其英语实用能力的培养。针对存在的问题,我们应该改革教学内容,转变教学观念,突出以学生为中心,同时加强英语“双师型”师资队伍的建设,以期实现高职院校英语教学的目标。
Public English teaching is an important part of higher vocational education. Its quality has become one of the most important symbols of talent cultivation. Under the new situation, the main task of public English teaching in higher vocational colleges is to train students’ practical ability in English. However, there are some common problems in English teaching in higher vocational colleges at present, which have seriously affected the improvement of students’ English level and the cultivation of their practical ability in English. In view of the existing problems, we should reform the teaching content, change the teaching conception, emphasize the students as the center, meanwhile strengthen the construction of the teaching staff of English “double teacher ”, in order to achieve the goal of English teaching in higher vocational colleges.
