“南薯88”是四川省南充地区农科所选育的高产红薯品种,获国家科技进步二等奖。1988年我省引进示范,1990年大面积推广,1993年全省已推广近100万亩,约占红薯面积的四分之一。“南薯88”在我省推广后,具有如下表现:
“South potato 88” is a high-yield sweet potato variety selected by Agricultural Science Institute of Nanchong in Sichuan Province and won the second prize of National Science and Technology Progress Award. In 1988, the province introduced a demonstration and popularized it in large scale in 1990. In 1993, the province has promoted nearly 100 million mu, accounting for about one quarter of the area of sweet potato. “South potato 88” promotion in our province, has the following performance:
