1501中新生代盆地是海西期花岗岩及古老变质岩基底上形成的中新生代拗断盆地,面积850平方公里。盆内第四系广布,覆盖层主要是风积、残积砂砾层或冲积石英砾石层。该区干旱多风,地表松散干燥,储气条件差。这种特殊的地表条件,用射气测量圈定、寻找铀矿的效果如何?前人在五、六十年代已经作了大量的地质物探工作,发现了各类异常点带和沉积型矿点、矿床。我们于八十年代初重进该地,对老资料进行了整理,认为本区射气测量的找矿效果良好,以氡为主体的各种找矿方法在多风干旱地区是大有作为的。
