面对经济全球化趋势和我国即将加入WTO的极好机遇,为了解靖江近年来利用外资的基本情况,提出加快利用外资工作步伐的对策和建议,前不久,靖江市政协组织部分委员,历时半个月对此进行了深入调查,并召开常委会议进行专题议政。靖江市委、市政府重视市政协的专题议政会,市委、市政府领导到会听取意见,并给予肯定和高度评价。随后,市委召开常委扩大会议,专题听取市政协关于利用外资工作调查情况的汇报,市委领导表示要对市政协的建议认真研究,积极采纳。从市政协的调查情况看,靖江利用外资工作经过10多年的艰苦努力,取得了较好的成绩,对推动全市经济发展发挥了积极作用,但也存在一些困难和问题。为此,市政协建议:1、提高认识,转变观念,在全社会形成强烈的招商引资氛围。要进一步解放思想,提高对利用外资工作重要性的认识。充分利用各种新闻媒体,大力宣传利用外资在全市经济生活中的重要地位和作用。各级领导都要把招商引资紧抓不放。各有关部门要有强烈的机遇意识和全局意识,彻底转变思想观念,真正把思想和行动集中到经济建设上来,把支持招商引资作为自己的重要职责,创造性地开展工作。充分发挥广大群众的积极
