支铰是弧形闸门的转动中枢,又是重要承载部件。由于弧形闸门可绕支铰转动,相对于平面闸门,可以大大减少启门力,使选用的启闭机容量可以相应减小。弧形闸门的支铰按其结构型式,可分为圆柱形支铰,圆锥形支铰和圆球形支铰,其中以圆柱形支铰的应用比较普遍。这是因为圆柱形支铰结构简单,制造和安装都很方便。随着我国水电事业的篷勃发展,弧形闸门的应用日趋广泛,深入研究和发展圆柱形支铰具有重要的实际意义。
