Grasp the regulation of the amount of things is the deepening and essence of things. This paper demonstrates the inevitability of quantitative laws of Chinese classical gardens and their significance to the formation of the artistic style of Chinese classical gardens from three levels: philosophy, art and landscape. The prospects and directions of the quantitative research of Chinese classical gardens are discussed based on the current research progress
