钱宝琮先生是我国著名的数学史和天文学史专家，在国内外科技史界享有盛誉。该文试从《授时历》诞生的历史必然、辉煌成就及民族文化渊源等方面，论述钱先生对《授时历》研究的贡献。
Mr. Qian Baojian is a famous expert in history of mathematics and astronomy in China, and enjoys a good reputation in the history of science and technology both at home and abroad. The article tries to discuss Mr. Qian’s contribution to the research of the “Calendar of Circles” in terms of historical necessity, splendid achievement and origins of national culture.
