江西省吉安八0二台于1980年4月10日经江西省人民政府批准兴建,地处江西省吉安市泰和县沿溪镇狮前村。八0二台属副县级全额拨款事业单位,现隶属于吉安广播电视台管理,单位编制42人,目前在编在岗38人,主要承担转播中央人民广播电台和江西人民广播电台节目。近年来,八0二台在技术创新改造上积极投入,硕果累累,建立了大功率数字中波发射机、自动双频切换、自动发射机与天线切换、自立塔中波天线等。被国家新闻出版广电总局授予全国广播电视安全播出先进集体称号,多次获得江西省广电局技术维护先进集体、先进台站称号。
