本文梳理了西北大学考古专业成立过程的相关记述,整理了《夏鼐日记》中所记述的西北大学考古专业成立之前、之后西北大学校方与以夏鼐先生协商及相关情况。分析指出,在西北大学考古专业创建初期延聘的中国科学院考古研究所专家有12位之多,从西北大学考古专业创建之时即得到以夏鼐先生为代表的中国科学院考古研究所的关心与全面帮助。夏鼐先生不仅是西北大学考古专业设置过程中的重要参与者,而且也是西北大学考古专业早期发展中重要的推动者和督促者。
This article combs the related account of the process of establishment of archeology in Northwestern University, and arranges the consultation between Northwestern University before and after the archeology of Northwestern University described in “Diary of Summer Mourning” and the related situation. Analysis pointed out that in the early creation of Northwestern University Archeology Institute of Archeology, there are as many as 12 experts, from the Northwest University when the archeology was created to get Mr. Xia Yu, Institute of Archeology, Institute of Chinese Academy of Sciences care and comprehensive help. Mr. Xia is not only an important participant in the setting of archeology in Northwestern University, but also an important facilitator and supervisor in the early development of archeology in Northwestern University.
