The incidence of malignant tumors is increasing year by year, becoming the second leading cause of death that endangers human life. Lung cancer is one of the most common and deadly cancers, but most of the patients currently found clinically have advanced lung cancer with poor prognosis. Recent data show that only 10% of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) and 3% of small cell lung cancer (SCLC) can survive long term. At present, neuropeptides have been found to be important regulators of tumor growth and many non-responsive tumors produce peptide hormones. Endothelin-1 (ET-1) and calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP) are two of them, both of which can act through autocrine and paracrine
