Patients with recurrent epithelial ovarian cancer(ROEC)have a poor prognosis and limits optimal treatment. Maintenance chemotherapy can improve the survival and disease-free interval of these patients. Some researchs showed that prolonged salvage and maintenance chemotherapy was a safe methed of treatment that might extend disease-free interval among patients with platinum-sensitive ROEC who achieved response to salvage chemotherapy. The patients who had a second tumor recurrence while on the chemotherapy were not different from that in the refused group.
