一九八二年九月一日至五日,中国地理学会与复旦大学联合在沪举办了中国历史地理学术讨论会,与会的有一百余位研究人员,著名的历史地理学家谭其骧、侯仁之、史念海等出席了会议,三位日本同行也应邀参加.讨论会采取了大会报告与小组专题交流相结合的方式.在大会报告中,侯仁之教授简要回顾了建国以来中国历史地理学的发展情况,分析了今后发展的主要趋势;韩儒林教授谈了历史地理学的发展与研究方法问题;谭其骧教授就历史地理研究中如何正确对待历史文献资料问题作了专题发言;在会上还摘要宣读了加拿大寇·海瑞思教授读了阐述对西方历史地理学的几点看法的论文.此外,史念海,杨宽,海野一隆、斯波义信等九位学者也宣读了论文.
From September 1 to September 1, 1982, the Chinese Geographical Society and Fudan University jointly held a symposium on the Chinese history and geography in Shanghai. Over 100 researchers attended the symposium and the famous historical geographer Tan Qixuan and Hou Rennian and Shi Nianhai attended the meeting and three Japanese colleagues were also invited to attend the symposium, which took a combination of the report of the meeting and the exchange of group special topics.In a report of the meeting, Professor Hou Renzhi briefly reviewed the development of Chinese historical geography since the founding of the People’s Republic Professor Han Rulin talked about the development and research methods of historical geography; Professor Tan Qilian made a special speech on how to treat historical documents properly in the study of historical geography; at the meeting, he also read out the abstract Professor Crawley Herriss of Canada read essays on some points of view of Western historical geography and read the essays by nine other scholars, including Shi Nianhai, Yang Kuan, Haiyin Ichiro and Spohr Yoshinobu.
