目前,我国的英语专家、学者大都注重于对英语的教材、教法以及著作的研究,但对于讲授英语的对象——学生,却很少加以研究。学生既然是我们讲授英语的接受对象,那么,他们是否乐意接受我们所讲授的知识,接受的程度如何,英语学习的发展状况如何,学习习惯和方法以及心理状态,社会影响诸因素又是怎样,对于我们作为公共英语教师来说,应该对学生进行调查分析,掌握第一手材料,从中找出学生学习和英语教学规律性的东西,然后“对症下药”,以求在外语教学中取得良好的效果,正是基于这个原因,所以才开展了一次对我校85、86级学生英语学习的基本情况调查。
At present, most of English experts and scholars in our country pay more attention to the study of teaching materials, teaching methods and writings in English, but seldom study the students who teach English. Since students are the recipients of our teaching of English, whether they are willing to accept the knowledge we teach, the extent of their acceptance, the development of English learning, the learning habits and methods, psychological status and social influence are all the same. As a teacher of public English, we should carry on the investigation and analysis of the students, master the first-hand materials and find out the regularity of the students’ learning and English teaching, and then “make the right remedy” in order to achieve good results in foreign language teaching It is for this reason that we conducted a survey on the basic situation of English learning of 85,86 students in our university.
