What we need in the era of knowledge-based economy is a highly qualified personnel with innovative spirit and ability. Information literacy has become the basic quality that college students should have. The article discusses the connotation of information literacy and the status quo of college students’ information literacy education, and analyzes the advantages and ways of carrying out information education in university libraries.
