中国人传统观念中的五福,有两种说法,一说五福包括寿、富、康宁、攸好德、考终命。另一说五福为寿、富、贵、安乐和儿孙满堂。二者皆吉祥、福气,因而成为节日期间人们互相祝贺的美言。五福以寿为先,其实在笔者看来,这个寿未必尽是福。长寿者中,有富贵而长寿者,亦有贫贱而寿者,很难都成为人生的福气。有人活到八九十,甚或百岁,可谓长寿,外人看来是福,但对于他自己来说却又未必。我有个前辈,其母活到九十六岁,很多人以为这是老人家的福气,但她长年辗转于床第之间,百病
