The structural characteristics of Hevea brasiliensis Muell.Arg catheters at different heights and the graft of bark grafted anvil spike junction were studied by light microscopy. The results show that the newly formed xylem duct diameter curve from the branch, trunk and rhizome transitional zone to the small lateral root has an approximately “M” shape, and the curve of the duct density is approximately “U” shaped. At the height of the trunk, the height of the catheter has a peak, and the diameter and density of the catheter at the junction of the rhizome and rhizome are all in the low valley. The diameter of the catheter and the density of the catheter show a negative correlation in the branch and the fine root. There was a significant difference in the catheter structure between the scion and the rootstock in the bark grafting area, with the scion conduit larger than the rootstock. An important reason for the difference lies in the location effect, that is, the location of the scion in the original parent and the location of the graft junction in the rootstock when the material is taken are different. Provided preliminary evidence that location effects unrelated to the developmental stage had a role in grafting and proposed the concept of “location information memory.”
