三门峡水库是五十年代我国修建在黄河上的第一座综合利用大型水库。由于当时对多沙河流治理缺乏经验,在工程的规划和设计上存在不少失误;致使三门峡工程从修建到管理,经历了一个漫长而曲折的过程。工程经过两次改建,扩大了枢纽的泄水能力,才得以控制住水库泥沙淤积的发展,在维持一定有效库容的条件下,水库重新恢复了防洪、防凌、发电、灌溉、供水的综合利用效益。
Sanmenxia Reservoir is built in the 1950s on the Yellow River in the first comprehensive utilization of large reservoirs. Due to lack of experience in the management of the Dousha River at that time, there were many mistakes in the planning and design of the project. As a result, the Sanmenxia Project experienced a long and tortuous process from construction to management. After two times of reconstruction, the project expanded the drainage capacity of the hub to control the sediment deposition in the reservoir. Under the condition of maintaining a certain effective storage capacity, the reservoir resumed the comprehensive utilization of flood control, anti-flood, power generation, irrigation and water supply benefit.
