Describe the continuous wave operation of high power electron transfer oscillators. The maximum output power of 0.78 watts at 8.7 GHz was obtained with an efficiency of 2.5%. This is the highest continuous-wave output power for a single electron transfer oscillator reported to date in this frequency range. This high output power is due to the improved manufacturing technology, resulting in a thermal resistance of 0.015 x 0.015 inch-2 die with only 8 ° C / watt.
