通过减课时的办法实现大学英语课小班教学,同时利用电脑辅助下的任务型教学来提高课堂教学效率,可以重点培养学生的外语应用能力。当采用任务型教学模式时,课时减少并未显著影响学生对语言知识和教材内容的学习,而学生的语言应用能力却得到明显提高。由此可见,在全国高校扩招的形势下,大学英语通过减课时来实现体验式小班教学不仅是可行的而且是值得的。
Through the method of reducing the class to achieve college English class small class teaching, while using the computer-assisted task-based teaching to improve classroom teaching efficiency, we can focus on cultivating students’ ability to use foreign language. When adopting the task-based teaching mode, the reduction of class hours did not significantly affect the students ’learning of language knowledge and teaching material content, but the students’ language ability was obviously improved. Thus, it is not only feasible but also worthwhile to realize experiential small-class teaching in college English through the process of reducing lectures under the circumstances of enrollment expansion in higher education institutions nationwide.
