我县广大贫下中农、革命干部和科技人员,遵照毛主席关于“放手发动群众,一切经过试验”的教导,从一九六八年开始,进行早稻小苗育秧试验,经过两年的认真实践,逐步推广到各个社队。一九七一年,全县早稻小苗育秧面积达15万多亩,占早稻面积的60%以上。几年来的生产实践证明,小苗育秧是一项行之有效的增产措施,很受群众欢迎。它的好处是:
