克氏语段理论是理查德·克(Richard M Coe)在克里斯蒂森等前人研究的基础上提出的一种新的话语和段落模式分析法。其理论核心是将语段的可终止单位进行划分和编号并用纵横线条的移动关系对段落进行分析。把克氏语段理论应用到英语写作教学中对段落进行直观的评价,从而判断其段落的可否接受性,对指导英语段落写作具有可行的实践意义。
Kirschness theory is a new discourse and paragraph pattern analysis method proposed by Richard M Coe on the basis of predecessors such as Christianson. The core of the theory is to segment and number the terminable units of the segment and to analyze the paragraph with the moving relationship between the vertical and horizontal lines. Applying Keshi segment theory to the teaching of English writing makes an intuitive appraisal of the paragraphs so as to judge the acceptability of the paragraphs and has practical significance in guiding the writing of English passages.
