1964年5月12日,上海南京西路高美服装店里发生一场争执。一位女顾客订做了一条灰色华达呢裤子,要求把裤脚做小,但试样时发现裤脚没有按她要求的去做。她要求把裤脚改小,遭到营业员拒绝。营业员提醒她:“再改小就要形成包屁股、小裤脚了,这种奇装异服是不受欢迎的。”并对她说:
