和田地区是一个典型的农业地区,人口为182万,有87个乡镇。和田地区经济基础薄弱,农牧民科技文化素质比较低,宗教氛围浓厚。近几年来,在中央和自治区的关怀和支持下,在兄弟省市的对口支援下,和田地区农村发生了翻天覆地的变化,尤其是实施“六个30万”工程以后,农牧民得到了实惠。2006年全地区农牧民人均收入达到1499元,比上年增加12.12%。2006年,和田地区建设抗震安居房9.1万户,全地区抗震安居房达到20万户,100多万人受益。
Hotan area is a typical agricultural area with a population of 1.82 million and 87 townships. The economic foundation of Wada is weak. The scientific and cultural qualities of farmers and herdsmen are relatively low, and the religious atmosphere is strong. In recent years, with the care and support of the Central Government and the autonomous region, tremendous changes have taken place in rural areas in the Hetian area with the support of counterparts from other provinces and municipalities. In particular, farmers and herdsmen have benefited from the “six 300,000” projects . In 2006, the per capita income of peasants and herdsmen in the entire region reached 1,499 yuan, an increase of 12.12% over the previous year. In 2006, 91,000 earthquake-resistant houses were built in the Wada area, and 200,000 earthquake-resistant houses were installed in the entire area, benefiting over 1 million people.
