In the season of plum rain in 2004, I came to Yingtan, Jiangxi. I know it is the very place with a thousand-year mystery--cliff tomb and Cliff Cof? n left in Spring and Autumn and the Warring States period, but I failed to go to investigate it; I know it is the place with Xiangshan Academy established by Lu Jiuyuan, a great famous thinker and master of great learning in Song Dynasty, but I failed to research it; I know it is the birth place of Xia Yan, prime minister in Ming Dynasty and Zou Taofen, modern famous news pioneer, however, I did not pay a visit. For ten days, hurried along Zhejiang-Jiangxi railway. The falling plum rain wetted my footprints, and those special days I can not forget for a long time. In those days and the nearly two years that follow, I knew a person anew.
