广东省冶金工业厅于1980年9月22日至25日在横坑钨矿矽肺疗养院召开全省厂矿工业卫生工作会议。会上有十五个单位交流了24篇劳动卫生及职业病的调查和科研资料。 会议传达学习了万里副总理在中华全国总工会第二次劳动保护工作会议上的讲话,交流了工矿卫生工作经验,评比表彰了先进集体和先进个人,讨论了1981年的工作要点。 与会代表一致认识到,国务院处理“渤海二号”事件的决定是对我们各级领导和劳动保护工作者的鞭策和警告。我省冶金企业安全、卫生工作虽然取得一定成绩,但存在问题也不少,近年来我厅所属企业内每年因职业病死亡人员均超过同期工伤死亡人数,防护防治工作
