In 1996, we conducted a test of the effect of using sugarcane with rare earth compound fertilizer in the West Dongting Farm in Hunan Province. The test results are reported below. MATERIALS AND METHODS The test site was set up in the second pit of West Dongting Farm with 4 field trials. The average soil nutrient contents of the topsoil were 17 ig / kg organic matter, 100.5 mg / kg hydrolyzed nitrogen, 5.6 mg / kg P2O5, 201.1 m
