Here is Shijicheng or "Century Town" by the picturesque Kunming Lake in Haidian Districtof Beijing.It is just one of the numerous residential estates that have sprung up in the Chinese capital in recent years, a result of a booming economy China has enjoyed over the past three decades.Like many other residential estates, Shijicheng features neatly arranged multi-story apartment buildings with lush green lawns in between, along with a traditional-style garden that adds beauty to it.
